The Soothing Serenity Experience
Once the intake and medical history is complete and you are comfortable, I will then perform an assessment to see what areas need to be addressed right away, and will be discussed before treatment begins. You will be left alone in the massage room which is warm, and quiet with a padded and warmed table, fresh linens, soft music and dimmed lighting. You will then disrobe and lay face down on the table with the sheet draped over you. I want to make sure that you are comfortable, so you will be draped at all times with the exception of the body part that is being massaged. Please communicate before, during and after the massage if you have any concerns.
Before your session
Please arrive 15min early to fill out paperwork for your first session. Please be sure to not wear any perfume, lotions or cologne. Ladies, please wear a bra and underwear and men, please wear boxers.
After your session
After your session, be sure to drink plenty of water to flush out the toxins that were released during your treatment. After your session you may feel some slight discomfort, similar to that of a gym workout. This is normal as your muscles were just worked and will have an increase in blood flow. If needed you may use ice or Advil to ease the discomfort.
How often should you get a massage?
It is recommended that clients get a massage 1-2 times a month for those that are healthy. Individuals that have injuries should have a massage every 1-2 weeks.
